Lady Gaga and J.Lo's Twin Catsuits

Celebrities in unitards that sparkle onstage? Two makes it a trend! Lady Gaga arrived at Monday's Met Gala in a body-hugging catsuit nearly identical to the one Jennifer Lopez wore on New Year'sEve.
Gaga rocked a crystal-encrusted Armani unitard at Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's yearly tribute to high fashion. She accessorized with sparkly boots and long, wavy hair -- a surprisingly natural look for the avant-garde singer.
Also out of character for the famously fearless Gaga: She suffered a bout of stage fright that caused her to skip the red carpet and spend most of the evening locked away in a dressing room. Friends tried to coax Gaga out to no avail, until finally artist Terrence Koh and Oprah managed to get the catsuit-clad diva onto the stage. Once up there, she blew everyone away, belting out four songs including megahit "Bad Romance."
While Gaga is usually the one setting the fashion agenda (see: her now-ubiquitous Alexander McQueen towering stiletto platforms) J.Lo seems to have been on top of the trend well before Gaga caught on -- Lopez worked her own glittery, tight-as-can-be bodysuit four months ago.

She appeared on "Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve" in a sparkly black Paula Bradley one-piece and studded heels. The outfit, showing off every inch of Jen's post-baby body, kept people talking for days. Lopez admitted on "Live With Regis and Kelly" that she was so taken by the outfit she wore it two more times. But Britney Spears gets credit for testing the look first in 2004.
The Met Gala, always good for a few fashion hits and misses, saw outrageous looks from other stars as well. Oprah, the event's cohost, wore a feathery Oscar de la Renta gown, Kristen Stewart arrived in a Gothic-inspired sparklefest by Chanel, and Katy Perry spent the evening in a glow-in-the-dark dress filled with little LED lights.
